What is the Spherephone Virtual Phone service?
It is, in short, having a virtual phone number that you can use just as you would a regular phone number. It is a service that you can opt into from your account. You can choose the number you want from a list of available phone numbers, choose an area code, and what numbers you want your virtual phone number to contain. You can also opt into other services like receiving SMS messages, etc.
You can add the SpherePhone service by following the steps below:
- Go to "My Account."
- Click on the section titled "Virtual Phone Number."
- Click on the button titled "Add."
- Choose the number you want
You can choose to have a toll-free number or get a number with the combination you prefer.
- After purchasing the number you want, insert a forwarding number (a number you want your calls to be forwarded to)
- You can then set up your virtual phone number's messages/voice settings
- Click on the Save Changes button to save your changes.
You can add an extension, make changes to your virtual phone number's messages/voice settings, and set up your outgoing calls by enabling it.
You can also port a virtual phone number you already have into the platform by clicking on the "Port number" button.
*Note: You need to provide a phone bill and letter of authorization in order to complete the port in.
